  2. Medical Record Driver

  5. MR. DR., Medical Record Driver is a System for the administration
  6. of patient medical records. Its advanced characteristics make it
  7. unique on the market.
  8.  
  9. As a result of its design, MR. DR. offers attractive advantages
  10. for users, including the capacity, to register and present
  11. patients medical data in variety of organizational forms: by type
  12. of medical records, visit, episode, etc.
  13.  
  14. There is not practical limit to the diversity of patients records
  15. the system can manage. MR. DR. allows users to design the most
  16. convenient format, fully utilizing the graphics capabilities of
  17. the computer, as well as sensibly invoke and relate the distinct
  18. types of records.

  20. MR.DR. offers physicians a special type of query, called
  21. "evaluation". Evaluation allows the doctor to select, for a
  22. particular patient, desirable question types to analyze over
  23. time. The result is shown in two column tabular format with one
  24. column for question types and another for corresponding dates.

  26. MR. DR. is an important complement for health professionals,
  27. providing essential information for physicians. As well as
  28. permitting revision of all historical annotations for any given
  29. query, the system cross-references the variables and conditions
  30. included in medical records for purposes of statistical analysis.

  32. MR. DR. is also an advanced product with respect to its data
  33. structure and storage. It includes a data base designed
  34. especially for this application, which permits optimization of
  35. disk storage characteristics and minimum response times.

  37. MR. DR. has been conceived as an "open" solution, able to read
  38. and write data in medical record files on other computers
  39. including IBM mainframes. It runs under both the MS-DOS and
  40. UNIX operating systems.
